Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Systems Analyst – Mainframe/Banking. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical initiatives involving customer data onboarding, API integrations, and host system enhancements within a collaborative environment, with potential for long-term growth and development.
Pay rate range (CAD): $62.20/hr – $80.61/hr
Responsibilities
- Translate complex business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to define solutions and assess impacts.
- Develop, manage, and maintain system requirement traceability through all phases including design, testing, and deployment.
- Support testing activities by translating requirements into test cases and expected results.
- Drive clarity and support deployment by working closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and QA teams.
- Leverage domain expertise to identify opportunities for process improvement and innovative solutions.
- Provide operational support and detailed analysis to enhance system performance.
- Ensure compliance with standards, development of business cases, and support change management activities.
- Actively participate in an Agile environment, working in sprint cycles and delivering on key project objectives.
- Maintain strong communication channels across teams, promoting teamwork and shared success.
Desired Skill-Set
- 8+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience in a financial services environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience related to Mainframe data inquiries and updates.
- Proficiency with API testing and maintenance using Postman.
- Strong understanding and practical experience working within Scaled Agile Framework.
- Expertise in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for writing user stories.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence tools.
- Excellent testing, gap analysis, and documentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with an engineering mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with customer data systems.
- Prior banking or financial industry experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
