Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Z/OS System Programmer who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of IBM and OEM software products within a z/OS Parallel Sysplex environment. This candidate will work closely with Senior Systems Programmers to plan and implement software upgrades, support disaster recovery testing, and ensure compliance with Banks policies, standards, and controls. The successful candidate will also contribute to strategic planning, performance tuning, and coordination of software maintenance schedules and roadmaps. Strong communication skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential for success in this role.

Desired Skill Set:

  • 5+ years of z/OS systems programming experience focused on IBM and OEM software (e.g., BMC, Broadcom, SAS).
  • Strong knowledge of tools such as SMP/E, RACF, JES2, WLM, ISPF, IPCS, etc.
  • Familiarity with PTF/APAR management and performance monitoring tools (e.g., OMEGAMON, MAINVIEW).
  • Proficiency in JCL, REXX, CLIST; experience with Assembler or COBOL is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
