Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr Network Operations (NOC) Shift Lead who will provide senior-level operational support and leadership within the Network Operations Support Group. The successful candidate will oversee shift activities, ensure efficient incident management, and maintain the health of critical network infrastructure across LAN, MAN, WAN, RLAN, Wireless, Firewall, Load Balancer, and Optical environments. This position requires strong technical acumen, hands-on troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage and mentor a team effectively in a 24/7 operational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day deliverables during assigned shifts under the direction of the NOC Manager.
  • Provide technical leadership to ensure NOC procedures and automation tools are effectively utilized.
  • Collaborate with floor managers to oversee work intake, queue management, and shift operations.
  • Engage in Priority 2 (P2) or major incident calls, providing hands-on technical and coordination support.
  • Manage and triage incident queues, ensuring timely prioritization and resolution based on impact.
  • Coordinate escalation to L2/L3 teams, internal clients' teams, or external vendors as required.
  • Ensure smooth shift transitions through detailed documentation and effective handovers.
  • Support incident, change, and problem management processes.
  • Contribute to the creation and review of Methods of Procedure (MoPs) and knowledge documentation.
  • Identify automation opportunities and promote continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency.
  • Monitor and report on productivity, performance metrics, and operational gaps.
  • Provide meaningful input to management regarding team performance and training needs.
  • Develop and coach team members, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
  • Deliver business-friendly incident updates for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and report repeated alerts, chronic issues, and process inefficiencies for resolution.

Desired Skill Set:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Network Operations.
  • Expert knowledge of Cisco routers and switches (CCNP certification required).
  • Proven experience with Network Management tools and applications.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving network connectivity and performance issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience managing escalations and working with internal teams and 3rd-party vendors.

Nice to Have:

  • CCIE certification or progress toward completion.
  • Experience supporting automation initiatives and optimizing operational processes.
  • Familiarity with large-scale enterprise network environments in the financial sector.
