IT Change Manager (Infrastructure)

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an IT Change Manager (Infrastructure) who will be responsible for developing and executing structured change management strategies for initiatives impacting employees and customers. The successful candidate will lead stakeholder engagement, communications, training, and readiness efforts to ensure effective implementation and adoption of changes within infrastructure projects. This role requires excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills, along with strong familiarity with change management frameworks and tools.
Responsibilities
- Apply a structured change management methodology to changes impacting employees and customers.
- Develop change management strategies based on assessments and business objectives.
- Create and implement actionable plans including stakeholder assessments, communication, leadership alignment, readiness, sustainment, and change metrics.
- Execute tactical elements of each change plan and integrate activities with project teams.
- Support communication, training, and engagement efforts of managers and business leaders.
- Act as a visible coach to executive leaders and change sponsors.
- Identify people-side risks, resistance points, and mitigation strategies.
- Establish and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of changes.
- Create reinforcement mechanisms and celebrate change successes.
- Collaborate closely with project managers to align change activities with overall project plans.
Desired Skill Set
- Postsecondary education.
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in change management.
- Familiarity with change management methods, approaches, and tools.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong active listening and interpersonal skills.
- Proven problem-solving and root cause identification skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment towards a common goal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
- ITIL or ITSM certification.
- Strong ServiceNow reporting skills, with more than a basic understanding of advanced fields.
Nice to Have
- Certification in a recognized change management methodology.
- Experience with project management tools, approaches, and lifecycle phases.
- Technical knowledge or prior IT infrastructure experience.
