Senior IT Project Manager – Data & Infrastructure

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior IT Project Manager – Data & Infrastructure with strong expertise in data, infrastructure, and enterprise-level project delivery. You will lead a high-visibility program within the Architectural Data and Analytics team, collaborating with technical and business stakeholders to drive successful outcomes and ensure operational readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a complex, multi-workstream data and infrastructure program from initiation to completion.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including contractors and business stakeholders, to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Utilize project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence to track progress, manage risks, and produce transparent reporting.
- Drive independent decision-making and problem-solving to remove barriers and accelerate delivery.
- Ensure alignment between project goals, business requirements, and infrastructure capabilities.
- Oversee the implementation of infrastructure services supporting data and analytics initiatives.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and status reports summarizing progress, challenges, and key decisions.
Desired Skill Set:
- 10+ years of experience in project/program management, ideally within data, analytics, or infrastructure domains.
- Strong proficiency in JIRA, Confluence, and cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- 5+ years of experience using BI tools (Power BI, Databricks, Alteryx) for project tracking and reporting.
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives independently with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies and delivery lifecycle stages.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience managing people change management or transformation initiatives.
- Previous experience within financial institutions or regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure service implementations impacting large business units.
