Calypso Systems Analyst

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Calypso Systems Analyst who is a proactive and independent professional who can translate business needs into technical solutions, manage complex projects, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to optimize system performance and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Identify Calypso business needs for new and enhanced products, services, and business processes, clarifying technology and process requirements to identify gaps.
- Act as the primary representative for Project Delivery, managing day-to-day Calypso business issues for Capital Markets Middle Office and Derivative Operations.
- Capture, analyze, and document business requirements to ensure quality outputs and provide direction for business stakeholders.
- Create, implement, and execute Calypso User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, recommending actions based on results.
- Facilitate large group requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders across multiple lines of business to ensure alignment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across business functions, partners, and external organizations to foster collaboration and support strategic initiatives.
- Provide consultancy and advice to business partners on system automation, usability, and process improvements.
- Develop and deliver presentations tracking project status, key updates, and strategic developments for senior management.
- Represent Global Product Operations and/or Capital Markets Middle Office on various projects and initiatives, providing business-specific analysis and recommendations.
Desired Skill Set:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in business analysis or operations support, ideally supporting enterprise-wide projects.
- Strong configuration and/or operational experience with Calypso (mandatory).
- In-depth business knowledge of Capital Markets, particularly in Product Operations or Trading Products.
- Advanced understanding of project management and system development life cycles (SDLC).
- Experience in application development or client solution delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in process and data modeling techniques.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in creating and presenting reports and status updates to senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, adaptable, and capable of managing ambiguity and change.
Nice-to-Have:
- Accounting or operations experience in a Capital Markets environment.
- Familiarity with business assessment tools (e.g., feasibility studies, workflow diagrams, needs assessments).
- Professional certifications such as MBA, CFA, CBAP, PMP, FRM, or DMS.
- Knowledge of Derivative Operations or Middle Office processes.
