Learning & Development Project Manager
Are you an experienced Project Manager who excels at driving medium-to-high complexity learning initiatives within the financial industry? This opportunity allows you to lead impactful L&D projects, manage cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure seamless delivery of learning solutions in a dynamic environment.
Working with one of our top financial clients, this position calls for a Learning & Development Project Manager who will oversee end-to-end project execution, maintain strong governance, manage risks, and ensure timely and on-budget delivery. The ideal candidate brings proven project management experience within Learning & Development, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and business lines.
Responsibilities:
- Lead status calls, track progress, and maintain clear communication across all project stakeholders.
- Manage risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Drive L&D processes to implement solutions such as ILT, virtual training, eLearning, webinars, self-directed pathways, and workshops.
- Plan and execute medium- to high-complexity L&D projects using structured project management tools and methodologies.
- Support vendor selection, onboarding, and management for third-party learning solutions.
- Develop and execute effective stakeholder engagement and communication strategies.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external partners across the portfolio.
- Report on project progress, milestones, risks, and dependencies at various organizational levels.
- Partner with L&D CoEs and business teams to develop delivery strategies, launch/change management plans, and maintenance frameworks.
- Ensure strong governance and proactively resolve project risks or delays.
- Conduct project retrospectives and implement lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on emerging project management trends, including Agile/hybrid methodologies.
- Actively contribute to the broader project management community by sharing insights and expertise.
Desired Skill Set:
- 7–10+ years of Project Management experience, ideally within Learning & Development or an adult learning environment.
- 5+ years of L&D Project Manager experience (required).
- Experience working in banking, financial services, or insurance industries.
- Proficiency in MS Project and MS Office Suite.
- Proven experience managing medium to high complexity projects end-to-end.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, multi-project environments.
Nice to Have:
- Agile/SCRUM experience or exposure to hybrid project delivery models.
- Experience in performance consulting, learning design, facilitation, or learning technologies.
- Strong understanding of project management best practices within L&D.
