Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an AdminStudio and InstallShield Specialist who will be responsible for application packaging, deployment, and integration to ensure seamless software delivery aligned with industry standards and internal policies. Pay rate range (CAD): $52.82/hr – $63.38/hr

Responsibilities

  • Package and integrate applications, ensuring delivery aligns with documented user requirements, industry standards, and organizational best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate effective software packaging and deployment.
  • Ensure applications meet security and operational standards through thorough testing and verification.
  • Work closely with the Desktop Engineering team to document and deliver application packaging parameters that satisfy business and security needs.
  • Assist in application rationalization and support the release management process for new and upgraded software.
  • Test, verify, and maintain security controls within software packages.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, QA, and Release Management.
  • Provide advice to management on appropriate technology solutions to meet operational needs.
  • Participate in technical meetings to discuss and resolve issues related to application deployment.

Desired Skill-Set

  • University degree or college diploma in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in application packaging or related technical roles.
  • Extensive experience with AdminStudio and InstallShield.
  • Proficiency creating and editing MSIs, MSTs, Merge Modules, and Custom Actions.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft SCCM, Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects.
  • Solid scripting skills for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and change management abilities.
  • Ability to analyze end-user requirements, estimate work efforts, and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality results.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with other operating systems or platforms.
  • Familiarity with newer packaging tools or deployment technologies.
  • Knowledge of IT security policies and best practices.
  • Certification in relevant technology areas or project management.
  • Exposure to cloud-based deployment methods.
