Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Advanced Analytics Data Scientist. This position involves developing and deploying sophisticated analytical models using cutting-edge machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from large and complex data sets. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions that support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced analytical algorithms, including machine learning, deep learning, and AI, to analyze large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Design and implement new data modeling processes and predictive systems to support business strategies.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to develop data pipelines and analytics tables.
  • Extract and mine data from diverse sources to evaluate the feasibility of AI/ML solutions for enhanced data processing.
  • Conduct large-scale data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to business leaders to enhance market competitiveness.
  • Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies and tools for developing innovative data solutions.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with investment distribution teams and leadership to implement analytics solutions.
  • Anticipate industry trends and respond proactively with strategic analytics initiatives.
  • Support broader project activities and adapt to changing business priorities as needed.

Desired Skill-Set

  • 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent in data science, analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
  • Proven experience with machine learning techniques and frameworks.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to evolving project needs.
  • Data-driven decision-making mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the investment industry or financial sales.
  • Prior banking experience.
  • CFA designation or advanced degree in a relevant field.
