Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Advanced Analytics Data Scientist. This position involves developing and deploying sophisticated analytical models using cutting-edge machine learning techniques to extract valuable insights from large and complex data sets. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions that support strategic initiatives and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced analytical algorithms, including machine learning, deep learning, and AI, to analyze large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Design and implement new data modeling processes and predictive systems to support business strategies.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to communicate insights effectively.
- Collaborate with data engineers to develop data pipelines and analytics tables.
- Extract and mine data from diverse sources to evaluate the feasibility of AI/ML solutions for enhanced data processing.
- Conduct large-scale data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
- Provide actionable recommendations to business leaders to enhance market competitiveness.
- Investigate and evaluate emerging technologies and tools for developing innovative data solutions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language to non-technical stakeholders.
- Work closely with investment distribution teams and leadership to implement analytics solutions.
- Anticipate industry trends and respond proactively with strategic analytics initiatives.
- Support broader project activities and adapt to changing business priorities as needed.
Desired Skill-Set
- 4+ years of relevant experience or equivalent in data science, analytics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or SAS.
- Expertise in data visualization tools such as PowerBI.
- Proven experience with machine learning techniques and frameworks.
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to evolving project needs.
- Data-driven decision-making mindset.
Nice to Have
- Experience in the investment industry or financial sales.
- Prior banking experience.
- CFA designation or advanced degree in a relevant field.
