Are you a strategic and detail-oriented professional with deep experience in AI governance, model risk, and Responsible AI practices within financial services? This role provides an exciting opportunity to lead Responsible AI Operations (RAIOps) across the Wealth Management AI portfolio, ensuring that all AI solutions are compliant, ethical, explainable, and aligned with regulatory and business objectives.

Working with one of our top financial clients, this position calls for an AI Operations Lead/Wealth Management who will operationalize Responsible AI frameworks, oversee AI risk assessments, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement across the AI lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and comfortable owning end-to-end governance activities while influencing senior stakeholders across the business, technology, legal, and compliance functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Responsible AI frameworks, policies, and controls for Wealth Management in alignment with enterprise AI and CDAO standards.
  • Conduct ongoing model risk assessments and monitor AI solutions for bias, drift, fairness, explainability, and overall regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee operational reliability, security, and ethical use of AI systems across the full AI lifecycle—from ideation to production.
  • Partner with business, compliance, legal, and technology stakeholders to ensure AI initiatives meet organizational and regulatory expectations.
  • Lead and manage incident response, escalation processes, and documentation for AI-related operational issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement in Responsible AI practices through enhanced automation, monitoring, risk mitigation, and governance reporting.
  • Participate in and liaise with the client Responsible AI, Risk, and Governance forums.
  • Present AI use cases for approval to appropriate governance committees.
  • Ensure all required risk and Responsible AI questionnaires are completed, reviewed, submitted, and updated in accordance with established timelines.

Desired Skill Set:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in AI operations, AI governance, or model risk management within financial services.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing Responsible AI frameworks and controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-level change.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and relationship-management skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Deep knowledge of AI/ML technologies, ethical frameworks, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with program or project management.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI/ML operations and monitoring tools (e.g., model monitoring, MLOps platforms, risk assessment systems).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, along with data governance tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in risk mitigation and compliance.
