Application Support Developer

Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for an Application Support Developer who will investigate and resolve operational and technical issues across production environments. The successful candidate will manage incident prioritization, lead recovery efforts during outages, and ensure client satisfaction by delivering reliable, high-performing application support. This position also plays a key role in supporting system changes, enhancements, and strategic initiatives while aligning with business and security requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate and resolve operational and technical issues across production environments.
- Prioritize incidents based on severity, business impact, and urgency.
- Maintain comprehensive issue logs and escalation processes, including 24×7 on-call support when required.
- Lead and coordinate recovery efforts during outages, ensuring timely resolution.
- Act as a liaison between technology teams, business units, QA, and project stakeholders.
- Communicate technology standards, operational policies, and system updates to business partners.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for system changes, enhancements, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with business requirements, security protocols, and privacy regulations.
- Research and recommend proactive solutions to prevent outages and enhance reliability.
- Drive process improvements and continuous enhancement of production support practices.
Desired Skill Set:
- 4+ years of overall application support experience.
- Strong knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Proficiency in OpenShift container orchestration.
- Familiarity with enterprise tools including ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
- Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys).
- Knowledge of data integration platforms such as Feedhub (Axway).
- Proven expertise in incident management and resolution.
