AS400/iSeries Developer
Are you an experienced AS400/iSeries Developer with a strong background in RPGILE, CL, and SQLRPGILE programming? This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our top financial clients, where you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing large-scale enterprise applications on the IBM iSeries platform.
Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an AS400/iSeries Developer with proven expertise in AS400 systems, database management, and production support. You will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing robust solutions that align with business needs and technical standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct impact analysis and assess organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
- Develop, review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment for large-scale enterprise systems.
- Provide ongoing support for existing production applications, ensuring stability, reliability, and performance.
- Recommend and implement system enhancements to optimize business processes and application efficiency.
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions aligned with business requirements.
Desired Skill Set:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with RPGILE development.
- 5+ years of experience with CL programming on IBM iSeries/AS400.
- 5+ years of experience working with SQLRPGILE.
- 5+ years of experience with DB2400 (DB2 for i).
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with COBOL programming.
- Familiarity with Rational Developer for i (RDI).
- Experience using Arcade or other implementation tools (minimum 2 years).
- Banking or financial services industry experience.
