Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Automation Test Lead-Playwright/Python. This position involves developing and maintaining UI automation frameworks, executing automated tests for complex data workflows, and integrating testing processes into CI/CD pipelines to ensure quality across web applications and data engineering platforms. Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain UI automation frameworks using Playwright for web applications
- Create and execute automated tests for Databricks data workflows, including notebooks and ETL pipelines
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous validation
- Collaborate with developers and data engineers to define quality standards and resolve defects
- Analyze test results, document findings, and provide actionable insights
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for both frontend and backend components
- Utilize JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python for automation scripting
- Lead future offshore QA automation teams on test automation and execution
- Support manual testing efforts as needed
Desired Skill-Set
- Strong experience with Playwright automation (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python)
- Proficiency in CI/CD integration for automated testing
- Experience with data reconciliation and data testing
- API testing expertise
- Manual testing experience with automation conversion skills
- Ability to analyze complex technical requirements and generate detailed specifications
- Experience in designing, developing, and deploying large-scale projects
- Knowledge of agile SDLC practices

- Prior experience in Global Asset Management, Wealth, or Capital Markets
- Leadership experience leading offshore QA teams
