Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual Payments Officer – Banking / Wire Payments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support vital wire payment processing activities within a dynamic team environment, either remotely, onsite, or through a hybrid model. The successful candidate will execute transaction processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance while contributing to process improvements and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Process wire payments, electronic transfers, visa money transfers, and other money movement transactions accurately and on time
- Support training initiatives by observing procedures, reading guidelines, and performing transfers under supervision
- Perform merchant searches and validate transaction information as needed
- Engage with managers and team members to resolve support-related requests
- Assist in cross-training across multiple functions to enhance team flexibility
- Follow established policies and procedures to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
- Identify opportunities to improve operational workflows and service delivery
- Escalate high-risk or non-standard activities in accordance with protocol
- Maintain detailed documentation of transactions and support audit requirements
- Collaborate effectively with internal partners and stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and learning new tasks efficiently
Desired Skill-Set
- Bilingual in French and English, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proven conflict resolution skills
- Independently motivated with a positive attitude
- Tech-savvy, proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data entry)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding of risk management and procedural adherence
- Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities
Nice to Have
- Co-pilot or AI experience knowledge
- Banking industry background
- Familiarity with global banking platforms and WSS systems
