Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Analyst/Business System Analyst (Mutual Funds/ Bill C64) with strong regulatory experience, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a keen eye for detail. You will contribute to a large-scale Bill 64 compliance initiative, ensuring the organization meets data and record retention requirements while aligning with enterprise policies and governance frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Support a multi-year Bill 64 compliance project focused on data retention and information lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze business processes, document requirements, and define system enhancements to meet compliance goals.
- Work across multiple applications and systems to ensure adherence to regulations that limit data storage beyond defined timelines.
- Take ownership of deliverables, from requirements gathering to documentation and validation, ensuring traceability and completeness.
- Engage effectively with business and technology stakeholders to clarify needs, resolve conflicts, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Develop and maintain high-quality business and technical documentation.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve compliance processes and support audit readiness.
Desired Skill Set:
- 7–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Proven experience working in a Waterfall project environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, particularly those related to data privacy and record retention (e.g., Bill 64).
- Demonstrated ability to manage difficult stakeholders and navigate complex discussions with professionalism.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
- Proven track record of taking ownership of tasks and delivering results independently.
