Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Data Analyst-Capital Markets/Power Automate. In this position, you will support critical data and automation initiatives within the Capital Markets division, leveraging your expertise to enhance data accuracy, reporting, and process efficiency through hands-on technical work and stakeholder collaboration.

Pay rate range (CAD): $50.72/hr – $60.87/hr

Responsibilities:

  • Execute data extraction, manipulation, and workflow development using Alteryx.
  • Support data management activities, ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and reusability of data related to regulatory and business reporting.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, or other BI tools to support operational and management decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Assist with process automation initiatives, including transforming existing workflows and supporting Power Automate integrations.
  • Support database and API testing to ensure seamless data integration and functionality.
  • Provide ongoing support for BAU operations alongside project-based activities within Capital Markets.
  • Work closely with technology, data stakeholders, and business partners to meet reporting and analytics needs.
  • Contribute to data quality improvement initiatives and support regulatory compliance efforts.

Desired Skill-Set:

  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or Business Intelligence Analyst.
  • Strong proficiency with Alteryx for data workflows and automation.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI and SQL, including query development and data analysis.
  • Experience with data extraction, report creation, and analytics projects.
  • Familiarity with Azure Databricks is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, business-facing environment.
  • Strong communication skills for collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Power Automate and process automation tools.
  • Python scripting experience for reporting or automation enhancements.
  • Knowledge of data integration, API connections, and database testing.
  • Industry experience within Capital Markets or Financial Services.
  • Understanding of client data management, regulatory reporting, AML/KYC, or trade data environments.
  • Experience supporting business transformation or process improvement initiatives.
