Business Systems Analyst – Banking

Working with one of our top financial clients, this position calls for a Business Systems Analyst – Banking who will gather and translate business requirements, collaborate with technical teams, support process improvement initiatives, and ensure successful delivery across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and highly skilled at supporting business processes while partnering closely with stakeholders and technology teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work with key stakeholders across business functions to align technology solutions with business strategies.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for developers and technical teams.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of business functions to resolve issues, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Support one or more complex business processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency in solution design.
- Participate in multiple projects simultaneously as a contributing project team member.
- Serve as a liaison between business partners and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout project lifecycles.
- Formulate system scope and objectives; validate requirements, testing, training, and application implementation.
- Prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for system enhancements.
- Assist internal business groups on process improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical guidance on the business impact of application development or system changes.
Desired Skill Set:
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, supporting complex business and technical environments.
- 2+ years of experience with Jira and Confluence, including documenting requirements and tracking work items.
- 5+ years of experience with MS Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint, supporting documentation, analysis, and presentations.
- 2+ years of experience with case management systems such as ServiceNow.
- 5+ years of experience working with technical teams, including developers, QA, architects, and product owners.
- Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to both business and technical audiences.
