Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Fullstack Developer – VBA/JavaScript. This position involves developing and maintaining code for operational tools and automations within a collaborative, agile team environment. The candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to impactful projects supporting internal teams, with potential for long-term growth and exposure across various business areas.
Pay rate range (CAD): $55.81/hr – $66.97/hr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain frontend applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Create and enhance backend solutions with VBA, ensuring robust functionality
- Design and optimize database queries and stored procedures within SQL Server
- Build and automate macros in MS Access and MS Excel
- Integrate systems using API methods for seamless data exchange
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining coding standards
- Support agile development processes, including sprint planning and team collaboration
- Contribute to process automation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate technical concepts effectively through presentations and demonstrations
- Regularly engage with both internal teams and external partners to support project goals
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of experience in software development and SDLC processes
- Proficiency in frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Strong VBA programming skills for backend development
- Experience with SQL Server, including query writing and optimization
- Knowledge of MS Access and Excel macros
- Familiarity with API integration methods
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to present and explain complex technical solutions clearly
Nice to Have
- Experience working within agile methodologies using Jira and Confluence
- Code review and version control expertise
- Background in banking or financial services
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools
