Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Information Security Analyst in the banking sector. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to enterprise-level security initiatives, working within a dynamic team focused on protecting sensitive information and supporting security technology deployment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $43.69/hr – $52.43/hr
Responsibilities
- Monitor security reports and dashboards to identify non-compliant assets and security vulnerabilities
- Develop and follow runbooks for notification, tracking, and escalation of security issues
- Collaborate with technology teams to identify solutions, track remediation progress, and escalate issues as needed
- Lead efforts in deploying application security solutions and practices
- Conduct testing of security plans and evaluate new security systems and technologies
- Research and implement security best practices to enhance application and infrastructure security
- Provide technical leadership in development, support, and documentation of security processes, procedures, and tools
- Maintain thorough knowledge of existing and planned security infrastructures and architectures
- Support compliance operations, vulnerability management, and risk assessments within security frameworks
- Create reports and dashboards for security compliance tracking and remediation status
Desired Skill-Set
- 2-5 years of experience in cyber security, information security, or IT operations
- Strong understanding of IT standards, procedures, and security architecture
- Experience with vulnerability response systems, compliance operations, and risk management
- Proficiency building queries in ServiceNow and Splunk
- Familiarity with security platforms, including cloud environments, and security tools such as Crowdstrike (nice to have)
- Knowledge of the Three Lines of Defence model and its application in risk and control frameworks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively
Nice to Have
- Dashboard creation in ServiceNow or PowerBI
- Jira experience
- Experience with Crowdstrike or similar security tools
- IT audit or technology risk assessment experience
