Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Jr. BI Developer (SQL / SSRS / Power BI) who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data-driven solutions to meet business requirements. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Human Resources team to understand strategic objectives and translate them into robust BI solutions using Microsoft technologies. This position requires a strong foundation in SQL development, reporting, and data integration within an HR data environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop technical specifications and BI applications according to business requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders to understand strategic and operational needs and translate them into BI solutions.
  • Construct and implement physical database models and structures in Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) components using SSIS to ensure accurate and efficient data flow.
  • Create and optimize SSRS reports and Power BI dashboards to deliver clear, actionable insights.
  • Support data integration efforts and ensure data consistency and quality across systems.
  • Participate in business meetings, testing sessions, and solution reviews to ensure deliverables meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain Business Objects Universes for data analysis and reporting.

Desired Skill Set:

  • Proficiency in MS SQL queries (data extraction, transformation, and optimization).
  • Experience in SSRS reporting and Power BI development using Human Resources data.
  • Strong understanding of data integration principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to learning and improvement.

Nice to Have:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with flowcharting and project scheduling software.
  • Solid computer skills and understanding of data visualization best practices.
