Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Lead Azure Data Engineer/Unity Catalog who will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing secure, scalable, and automated Microsoft Power Platform and Azure environments. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in cloud security, identity management, data modeling, and automation. This position requires leadership capabilities to guide engineering teams, ensure robust governance, and implement best practices for enterprise data solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy and manage Microsoft Power Platform environments across large enterprise ecosystems.

  • Configure Power Platform at both tenant and environment levels with a focus on governance, security, and lifecycle management.

  • Implement identity and access management using Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including RBAC, entitlement mapping, and secure integration with Azure Key Vault (AKV) or HashiCorp Vault.

  • Develop and maintain custom connectors and API integrations leveraging OAuth 2.0 authentication flows.

  • Automate solution deployment and lifecycle operations using GitHub, GitHub Actions/Workflows, PAC CLI, and C#.

  • Script and automate environment provisioning and configuration using PowerShell and Bash.

  • Engineer and optimize Dataverse and SQL environments, including schema design, data modeling, and performance tuning.

  • Deploy managed environments and solutions via GitHub workflows and PAC CLI with secure service principals.

  • Contribute to the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) framework.

  • Support the development of intelligent agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.

  • Collaborate with teams on Terraform module development and infrastructure-as-code implementations.

Desired Skill Set:

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform deployment and management.

  • Expertise in GitHub, GitHub Actions/Workflows, PAC CLI, and C# for automation and solution deployment.

  • Proficiency in Entra ID identity and access management, RBAC, and integration with AKV or HashiCorp Vault.

  • Solid scripting skills in PowerShell and Bash.

  • Strong SQL knowledge including schema design and data optimization.

  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to guide teams and enforce best practices.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with AI Builder implementation and Power Platform V-Nets.

  • Troubleshooting backend network issues between Microsoft 365 and Azure resources.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot Studio for agent development.

  • Terraform module development and infrastructure-as-code experience.
