Legal Counsel / Lawyer – Wealth & Asset Management

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our leading financial clients as part of their Wealth and Asset Management Legal Team, contributing to strategic initiatives and providing legal counsel to key institutional business areas.
Working with one of our top financial institutions, this role calls for a Legal Counsel / Lawyer – Wealth & Asset Management who can deliver practical and strategic legal advice in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work closely with business partners, investment teams, and external counsel, advising on a broad range of asset management legal matters while ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and corporate governance principles.
Responsibilities:
- Advise on the launch and distribution of private pooled and alternative funds
- Provide legal support to real estate, infrastructure, and private credit investment teams
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements and related documentation
- Offer legal and regulatory advice regarding investment funds, portfolio management, and fund management services
- Collaborate on strategic initiatives, including global distribution and cross-border regulatory projects
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external counsel to achieve business objectives
- Provide advice on corporate governance and other regulatory matters
- Support risk management initiatives within the Wealth and Asset Management business
Desired Skill Set:
- 7+ years (minimum 4) of experience in a top law firm and/or in-house role practicing securities law
- Proven regulatory securities law experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
- Prior experience advising on investment funds or asset management-related matters
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience providing legal support to asset management firms, pension funds, or buy-side participants
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong critical thinking and sound judgment skills
- Experience collaborating with senior executives and multiple stakeholder groups
