Operations Analyst – Fixed Income (FI) – CDS/DTC

Working with one of the top financial clients, this role calls for an Operations Analyst – Fixed Income (FI) – CDS/DTC who will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of corporate action transactions, coupon payments, tax reporting, and settlements. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring operational excellence, and contributing to process improvements across domestic and international fixed income markets.
Responsibilities:
- Process corporate action transactions, coupon payments, tax reporting, and other assigned functions accurately and on time.
- Act as a direct contact and problem solver for clients, stakeholders, and business partners.
- Receive and validate corporate action notifications from the custody network, ensuring accurate entry into the corporate action dashboard.
- Process corporate actions including asset set-up, tax implications, and book value adjustments.
- Monitor coupon record changes and reconcile income received against custodian records.
- Handle mandatory and voluntary corporate actions while ensuring timely communication to all affected clients and stakeholders.
- Manage and resolve settlement discrepancies and feed issues causing exceptions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners to deliver high-quality customer service.
- Participate in projects: identify test cases, execute testing, communicate project status, and support timely delivery of objectives.
- Assist in analysis, testing, and implementation of operational and process improvements.
- Ensure procedures for current and new processes are documented and updated routinely.
- Execute ad-hoc, non-routine requests and follow escalation policies as required.
- Provide support to partners by identifying, locating, and resolving discrepancies.
Desired Skill Set:
- 2–3 years of experience in Capital Markets Operations.
- Strong knowledge of Fixed Income markets, asset servicing, corporate actions, coupon processing, and settlements.
- Proven ability to meet SLAs in a high-pressure environment.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- 2–3 years of experience in settlements, clearing, and servicing.
Nice to Have:
- Proficiency in Excel VBA.
- Hands-on experience with Bloomberg, Reuters, and other financial data products.
- Practical experience with DTC (U.S. Depository) and CDS (Canadian Depository).
