Working with one of the top financial clients this role calls for a Power BI Reporting Analyst who will develop Power BI reporting and Power Automate Flows to support FinOps’ maturity journey. The ideal candidate must have MS Power Platform development experience, flexibility, an entrepreneurial spirit, investigative skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong time management and organization skills, as well as comfort with managing complex business demands in a fast-paced environment. The ability to communicate clear & timely messaging to peers, management and executives will be essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain the process for the collection and processing of data for reports created
  • Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to resolve inquiries and provide timely guidance
  • Support the manager by delivering on business-as-usual activities, following escalation paths, and articulating well-reasoned recommendations
  • Lead the creation of quality report construction; collaborate with partners, develop & document processes and keep stakeholders current on changes
  • Support the inquiries of our FinOps colleagues – they are our customers
  • Ensure data accuracy while managing exceptions and working with partners to resolve issues
  • Investigate trends to identify/initiate projects which will reduce risk and/or create efficiencies; lead some of those projects to resolution while observing Finance’s internal and external controls
  • Foster effective relationships with peers, technology partners and subject matter experts 
  • Implement process & performance improvements where appropriate; support knowledge transfer throughout FinOps

Desired Skill Set:

  • 5 years of experience with Data sources which can be ingested into Power BI, including SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, etc
  • 3 years of experience building Power BI reports and Power Automate flows to support reports
  • 3 years of strong knowledge of Excel ETL features such as Power Query
  • 3 years of proficiency in MS Office Applications
  • Analytical skills and the ability to review and organize large amounts of data

Nice To Have:

  • Insurance & FI experience
  • Post-secondary degree in finance, accounting or financial management, business, computer science, operations, or logistics.
