Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Product Specialist – Workday (Recruitment). This position is instrumental in supporting the bank’s Talent Acquisition initiatives by ensuring seamless delivery and governance of Workday recruitment processes, acting as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams during a temporary onboarding period. The role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to strategic technology initiatives within a dynamic, collaborative environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $68.86/hr – $80.23/hr
Responsibilities
- Lead regression testing and validation of Workday Talent Acquisition processes across system changes, ensuring data integrity and downstream impact identification
- Support governance activities, including regulatory updates such as candidate notices and data/privacy compliance, maintaining audit readiness
- Validate and refine requirements for Workday change requests, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure clarity and testability
- Develop solutions based on issue analysis, providing recommendations that align with business and system objectives
- Identify emerging issues and trends, contributing insights to strategic planning and decision-making
- Assist in creating and maintaining multi-year and annual technology roadmaps aligning with organizational goals
- Manage project requirements, ensuring activities adhere to scope, milestones, and strategic priorities
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions, eliciting, analyzing, and documenting business requirements using established techniques
- Provide analytical insights supporting product development, portfolio management, and operational improvements
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify issues and support problem resolution efforts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration
- Liaise with technology support groups to translate business needs into technical specifications
- Assess project impacts, benefits, and risks associated with scope changes and process updates
- Review supporting documentation for quality, accuracy, and alignment with strategic objectives
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices through benchmarking and professional development
- Exercise sound judgment in problem-solving within established frameworks, working independently on non-routine tasks
- Apply risk management principles to protect organizational assets, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulations
Desired Skill-Set
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, project delivery, or related roles
- Postsecondary education in a relevant field
- Deep testing experience, including regression and acceptance testing
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, iterative)
- Knowledge of requirements analysis and problem decomposition techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, relational databases, and SharePoint
- Familiarity with business analysis practices, project lifecycle standards, and process improvement methods
- Technical problem solving skills across complex information technology environments
- Experience with user-centered design methodologies and organizational standards
- Ability to analyze business cases, feasibility studies, and conduct cost/benefit analyses
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaboration, stakeholder management, and influence capabilities
- Data-driven decision-making orientation
