Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Project Financial Analyst supporting project financial governance, operational efficiency, and resource management within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position involves collaborating closely with senior leadership and immediate team members to ensure accurate financial oversight, process improvement, and project support.
Pay rate range (CAD): $54.35/hr – $65.22/hr
Responsibilities
- Maintain project financial forecasts, monitor progress, and escalate risks, issues, and action items as needed
- Manage and reconcile project financials, including accruals, GL reconciliation, chargebacks, invoice tracing, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear commentary
- Prepare and deliver financial and status reports for leadership teams and executive committees
- Lead governance activities and contribute to operational process improvements, tools, and reporting enhancements
- Respond effectively to shifting priorities, manage multiple deliverables, and support project milestones
- Support resource allocation governance, onboard users to Eclipse, and provide troubleshooting and user support
- Create, reengineer, and optimize operational processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Assist the director in preparing executive presentations and conduct ad hoc analysis on financial data and operational metrics
Desired Skill-Set
- 5-10 years of experience in Project Coordination, Business Effectiveness, with a focus on Financial Planning & Analysis
- Proven expertise managing program and project financials including GL reconciliation, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Strong analytical skills to manipulate, interpret, and report on data from multiple systems
- Data-driven mindset with the capability to understand data relationships and generate insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with attention to detail
- Experience in process documentation, design, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated leadership with a proactive, ownership-oriented approach
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working within FI or familiarity with its processes
- Knowledge of GL reconciliation and Eclipse platform
- Advanced skills in MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint
- Experience with Jira, Power BI, Alteryx, and Confluence
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to prepare impactful executive presentations
