Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Risk Analyst – CCR / Repo & Securities. This position involves supporting large-scale projects related to securities finance transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining robust risk oversight. The role offers opportunities to work in a collaborative team environment with exposure to key risk reporting processes within a leading financial institution.

Pay rate range (CAD): $56.19/hr – $67.43/hr

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and accuracy check of daily, monthly, and quarterly OSFI B2/SCCL reports, including management and counterparty risk limit monitoring reports.
  • Conduct detailed reviews and research on data mappings including business, client, product, and legal entity data to ensure proper reporting.
  • Assist in implementing infrastructure changes related to new or revised policies, products, or processes.
  • Analyze, report, and monitor risk exposures in accordance with internal standards, escalating violations and production issues as necessary.
  • Ensure completeness and timeliness of reports, documenting process metrics, late/missing reports, and issues appropriately.
  • Manage projects aimed at improving reporting efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain internal control processes, documentation, and governance standards, including assessing the quality of outputs.
  • Oversee operational risks such as cross-training, audit preparation, and process documentation.
  • Collaborate with front office traders, Credit Risk Management, Global Counterparty Credit, audit, and technology teams to support business objectives.
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses on specific risk metrics, exposures, and transactions as requested by management and stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with analytics principles underlying credit risk management for various product types, including relevant financial modeling issues.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Extensive understanding of Securities Financing Transactions including Repo, Reverse Repo, Triparty Repo, Securities Lending and Borrowing.
  • Knowledge of the role of banks and broker-dealers within the SFT space and associated supporting business lines.
  • Strong experience with US/Canadian banking regulations, specifically OSFI and SSCL.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and deliver results efficiently.

Nice to Have

  • CFA or FRM certification.
  • Previous experience in risk management roles within financial institutions.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and requirements gathering.
