Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure DevOps & GitHub Actions to build and support CI/CD pipelines, standardize DevOps tools and practices, and contribute to application modernization initiatives. The successful candidate will work independently with development teams to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions across both greenfield and existing applications.
Pay rate range (CAD): $65.00/hr – $68.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Build, configure, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Develop pipeline solutions rather than simply execute existing processes.
- Support greenfield applications and existing applications across legacy and modern environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and implement effective pipeline solutions.
- Configure pipeline stages involving security, quality, and vulnerability scanning.
- Support application and environment initiatives, implementation planning, and process standardization.
- Contribute to the integration and effective use of enterprise DevOps tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve DevOps processes, tooling, and delivery practices.
- Communicate effectively across teams and proactively clarify requirements and potential issues.
Desired Skill-Set
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions.
- Proven experience developing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong YAML and scripting skills, including Python.
- Experience implementing pipeline stages for security, quality, and vulnerability scanning.
- Ability to work independently and contribute effectively from the outset.
- Ability to partner with development teams to build fit-for-purpose pipelines.
- Analytical approach with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to assess existing approaches, ask questions, and recommend improvements.
Nice to Have
- Experience in financial services.
