Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Functional Testing Analyst – (Treasury/QRM). This position involves working on a complex treasury transformation and QRM implementation project, requiring in-depth testing, data analysis, validation, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure data integrity and system functionality across enterprise platforms.
Pay rate range (CAD): $57.97/hr – $86.96/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business, data, and technology teams to analyze requirements and validate processes
- Develop test scenarios, cases, and validation approaches supporting project deliverables
- Conduct detailed functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across multiple platforms
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and investigative testing across large datasets
- Validate financial calculations, reporting outputs, and business rules against documented requirements
- Support Agile delivery teams by providing testing ownership from requirements to production
- Maintain testing documentation, traceability matrices, and audit-ready artifacts
- Assist in defect management, root cause analysis, and retesting activities
- Create process flows, data flow diagrams, and reconciliation models to support validation efforts
- Use SQL and Databricks to investigate data issues, perform reconciliations, and validate transformations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify gaps, clarify requirements, and challenge inconsistent results
- Support production validation and release activities, ensuring readiness and business sign-off
- Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve analysis, documentation, and testing productivity
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum 7 years of experience in functional testing, QA, or related disciplines
- Proven ability to analyze requirements and translate into comprehensive test scenarios
- Strong experience validating enterprise applications, data platforms, and complex business processes
- Expertise in data reconciliation, investigation, and root cause analysis for large datasets
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with Databricks SQL or similar platforms
- Knowledge of SDLC, testing lifecycle, defect management, and Agile practices
- Ability to interpret process flows, data lineage, source-to-target mappings, and system interaction diagrams
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business teams
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to challenge results and ensure data accuracy
Nice to Have
- Experience with QRM, Treasury, ALM, FTP, IRR, or risk management platforms
- Knowledge of financial products, balance sheet management, and interest rate risk concepts
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell
- Experience validating dashboards and reports in Tableau or Power BI
- Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and cloud-based data platforms
- Over 5 years of experience working within Agile delivery teams
