Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior IT Project Manager – Waterfall/AML Projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead and deliver complex application development projects within a fast-paced banking environment, supporting the AML team with a focus on effective project execution and stakeholder engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee end-to-end delivery of multiple application development projects valued between $1M and $5M.
- Manage project planning, execution, monitoring, and ensure successful delivery within scope, time, and budget parameters.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including business, IT, QA, and vendor partners, to foster collaboration and project alignment.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Implement project governance, reporting, and risk management strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement, transitioning teams from waterfall to Agile methodologies where applicable.
Desired Skill-Set:
- 10+ years of project management experience, with a strong background in application development and IT project delivery.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets ($1M–$5M+) and multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience working in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with waterfall methodologies, with some exposure to Agile practices.
Nice to Have:
- Prior experience in banking or financial services industry.
- Exposure to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) projects.
- Knowledge of vendor management and governance.
