Senior Solutions Designer – UML

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Solutions Designer – UML who will be responsible for driving end-to-end solution design for critical business and technology initiatives. The successful candidate will design strategies, interface with business stakeholders, and build modern, scalable solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards. This role requires exceptional technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive business value through innovative architectural strategies.
Responsibilities
- Act as an end-to-end senior designer on major products, applications, and transformation initiatives.
- Interface directly with business stakeholders and effectively communicate complex technical solutions.
- Create strategies and technology visions, including cloud migration strategies and roadmaps.
- Apply industry-standard design patterns and evaluate architectural trade-offs to ensure scalable and secure solutions.
- Develop comprehensive design artifacts using UML and other modeling languages.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure solution alignment with business objectives.
- Stay current with technological trends and proactively recommend innovative approaches to improve solution design.
Desired Skill Set
- 8+ years of experience as a Solution Designer with a strong technical background.
- 3+ years of experience with UML.
- 3+ years of experience with modern programming languages (Java, TypeScript, Golang).
- 2+ years of cloud experience.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure.
- Previous experience in the banking industry.
- Experience working with major financial institutions.
