Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior Databricks Developer to support a Synapse to Databricks migration and help deliver reliable, production-grade data engineering pipelines for global asset management technology.
Pay rate range (CAD): $70.00/hr – $75.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Databricks solutions to support enterprise data engineering needs
- Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines across the data lifecycle (raw/bronze to refined/silver to curated/gold)
- Develop data models that support analytics and downstream consumption across layers
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
- Support migration activities from existing platforms to Databricks in an enterprise environment
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT and project teams to deliver platform improvements
Desired Skill-Set
- Strong hands-on experience with Databricks
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience with data modeling across multiple layers (raw/bronze, refined/silver, curated/gold)
- Ability to work in large-scale enterprise data environments and support migration projects
Nice to Have
- Experience with Synapse to Databricks migration initiatives
- Familiarity with supporting both institutional and retail asset management data use cases
