Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Project Manager – Global Trading / Synthetic Prime. In this position, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects related to Synthetic Prime expansion, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives and stakeholder expectations. This is a key leadership role that offers exposure to global markets and an opportunity to drive a critical initiative for the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full life cycle of Synthetic Prime expansion projects, from initiation through delivery.
- Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including trading, equities, and global markets, to ensure project success.
- Facilitate effective stakeholder engagement, especially with high-level executives and business sponsors, to ensure alignment and support.
- Establish and oversee project governance structures, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards and methodologies.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly and proactively to stakeholders at all levels.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, implementing contingency plans proactively.
- Apply organizational change management principles to support people-side of change, including stakeholder analysis and business process adjustments.
- Foster a collaborative environment to build team momentum and ensure the delivery of project outcomes within scope, time, and budget.
- Ensure proper documentation, including project reports, scope documents, and financial tracking, is maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee procurement processes related to project needs.
- Support benefits realization and post-implementation reviews to measure project success and continuous improvement.
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with proven success leading high-profile financial services projects.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with senior executives and business units.
- Extensive background in equities, global markets, or trading environments.
- Solid understanding of trading processes and financial market operations.
- Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly.
- Experience managing projects in ambiguous or rapidly changing environments.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall practices.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Synthetic Prime trading and related financial products.
- Experience working on large-scale transformation initiatives or expansion projects.
- Familiarity with enterprise risk and compliance standards.
- Previous vendor management or procurement experience.
- Certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or relevant financial industry credentials.
