Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Trade Administration Analyst in Global Settlement Operations. This position involves providing essential day-to-day support for Canadian and U.S. equity trade clearing, ensuring accurate and timely trade settlement, and supporting process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Pay rate range (CAD): $47.10/hr – $56.52/hr

Responsibilities

  • Process and oversee Canadian and U.S. equity trade clearing activities to facilitate accurate, on-time settlement.
  • Perform daily trade reconciliations, investigate trading discrepancies, and resolve breaks within established deadlines.
  • Research non-routine exceptions, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to enhance quality and reduce operational risk.
  • Escalate unresolved issues and settlement risks promptly to senior management per escalation procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and downstream teams to ensure smooth trade lifecycle activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive audit trails and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and authority levels.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including planning, testing, and implementing new operational procedures.
  • Support operational reporting related to service delivery, productivity, and quality metrics.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members and assist with escalations when necessary.
  • Support additional functions such as account transfers, trade adjustments, tax reconciliations, and trade upload monitoring.

Desired Skill-Set

  • 4+ years of experience in capital markets operations, trade support, clearing, or settlements (Canadian and/or U.S. markets).
  • Experience with Canadian BPS, Broadridge, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of investigating and resolving exceptions independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially advanced Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of trade lifecycle processes including matching, clearing, settlement, and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of operational risk controls, audit trail requirements, and regulatory standards in capital markets.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to meet strict market cutoffs.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships across teams.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and prioritization abilities in a high-pressure environment.

Nice to Have

  • Systems experience with systems such as GEMS, ADP, IMatch, Global Framework, or relevant clearing portals (DTC/OCC/Arrow/CDS).
  • Prior experience supporting process improvement projects or product launches.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks impacting trade settlement processes.
