Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Banking Operations Analyst with expertise in advanced Excel. In this position, you will provide essential operational support within a high-volume, detail-oriented environment. You will work closely with internal and external partners, managing day-to-day processing activities that ensure operational effectiveness, compliance, and excellent customer service.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.87/hr
Responsibilities
- Process daily account transactions, including approvals and rejections based on predefined criteria
- Prioritize workload effectively to meet strict deadlines
- Maintain and improve reporting accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve account issues
- Ensure compliance with banking procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Support high-volume back-office operations associated with cash products such as loans, deposits, swaps, and forwards
- Document and communicate process updates and issues clearly
- Participate in team meetings, providing updates on workload and issue resolution
- Handle customer data with strict confidentiality and security protocols
Desired Skill-Set
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including data analysis and automation features
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Experience in banking or financial services, with at least 1 year in a similar role
- Capable of prioritizing tasks in a high-pressure setting
- Good understanding of proper reporting techniques
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
- Fast learner with a proactive approach
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of global markets and foreign exchange products (e.g., FX options, forwards, money market)
- Familiarity with global and WSS platforms
- Experience with trade processing or transaction monitoring
- Business background or experience in high-risk operational roles
- Additional certifications related to banking or finance
