Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a UX Designer-Banking. This position involves designing intuitive, accessible, and client-focused native mobile applications for iOS and Android, supporting the development of innovative self-directed investing capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design user-friendly and accessible experiences for the mobile app across iOS and Android platforms.
- Develop high-level concepts and detailed UI designs aligned with product objectives and platform standards.
- Collaborate with product managers, researchers, content designers, and developers to define features and deliver enhancements.
- Ensure designs are technically feasible and optimized for native mobile implementation.
- Create specifications, prototypes, and comprehensive design documentation to facilitate successful delivery.
- Contribute to and leverage the client's Mobile design system to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Maintain component libraries, patterns, and documentation within Figma.
- Design with a focus on accessibility, ensuring WCAG compliance and adherence to evolving platform requirements.
- Keep up-to-date with emerging mobile platform features, accessibility standards, and industry best practices to enhance the user experience.
Desired Skill-Set
- Minimum of 4 years of native mobile UX/UI design experience on iOS and Android.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design principles and mobile expertise.
- Proficiency in Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and documentation, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience.
- Solid understanding of interaction design, UI design, and platform-specific guidelines.
- Experience working with design systems, component libraries, and theming frameworks.
- Ability to independently lead design from discovery through implementation and QA.
- Skilled in creating high-fidelity prototypes, user flows, and storyboards.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS for producing web-ready assets.
- Effective communicator capable of presenting ideas and incorporating feedback across diverse teams.
- Experience working within agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of responsive web design and mobile application design.
- Personal or professional interest in investing, wealth management, or financial services is an asset but not required.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in complex digital product environments.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe After Effects and Illustrator.
- Basic understanding of web development principles.
- Knowledge of WCAG standards and accessibility best practices.
