Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Senior IT Project Manager to oversee large-scale, enterprise-wide security projects that support critical infrastructure across the organization. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and the opportunity to manage vital initiatives in a collaborative environment.
Pay rate range (CAD): $76.09/hr – $91.30/hr
Responsibilities
- Define test plans and ensure defect-free products before User Acceptance Testing.
- Develop, track, and manage project budgets, plans, timelines, and scope.
- Oversee project staff, including direct reports, contractors, and interns, delegating tasks appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress.
- Ensure adherence to systems development and project management processes.
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments and address issues proactively.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing, developing rollout plans and procedures.
- Lead development teams to deliver high-quality software solutions aligned with business needs.
- Present updates to steering committees or project sponsors.
- Manage medium to large-scale projects through collaboration with business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Coordinate project resources, including staffing, motivating, coaching, and advising team members.
- Partner with functional teams to define and document business requirements.
- Prepare and present cost-benefit analyses for project justification.
- Successfully execute projects within scope and budget, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
Desired Skill-Set
- 8+ years of IT project management experience
- Strong background managing project budgets for 8+ years
- Extensive experience managing infrastructure projects for 8+ years
- Proven ability to lead both waterfall and Agile projects for 8+ years
- Proficiency with SharePoint, Jira, and Confluence for at least 5 years
- Facilitating Scrum ceremonies with 5+ years of experience
- At least 3 years of delivering cybersecurity projects
- Strong knowledge of project governance
Nice to Have
- PMP Certification
- Experience with ServiceNow for ITSM
- Working knowledge of security and cloud technologies
- Familiarity with Planview or Clarity PPM tools
- Certification or working towards certification in cybersecurity technologies
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Strong stakeholder management experience
- Ability to present confidently to VP/SVP level executives
