Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. BSA – Interac Payments/Mainframe to help drive forward key business projects in a dynamic environment. You will serve as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, translating requirements into actionable system specifications within a collaborative Agile team, supporting a pivotal Point of Sale project.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret complex business requirements, transforming them into detailed functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Lead the elicitation and documentation of system requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product owners, architects, and engineers, to define solutions that enhance business processes.
  • Support the translation of business needs into clear user stories using Behavior-Driven Development methodology.
  • Manage traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, from design through deployment.
  • Assist testing teams by providing clear use cases, testing conditions, and acceptance criteria to validate system changes.
  • Provide technical guidance on solution design, focusing on quality, scalability, and reusability.
  • Promote innovative solutions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to support change management and operational readiness.
  • Participate in and support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support operational analysis and post-implementation reviews to optimize system performance.

Desired Skill-Set

  • Over 10 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Software Engineer, or Quality Engineer.
  • Extensive experience working within Mainframe environments.
  • Proven expertise in Scaled Agile Framework methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) for writing effective user stories.
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for requirements and project management.
  • Solid testing experience, including gap analysis and validation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with proven collaboration skills.
  • Ability to effectively operate in fast-paced, ambiguous settings.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities with an engineering mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with payment systems or interacting with payment APIs.
  • Familiarity with Postman for API testing.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Copilot or Github Copilot.
  • Prior banking or financial services experience.
