Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual Banking Operations Officer. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to support day-to-day operational activities, ensuring accurate transaction processing and exceptional service delivery in a fast-paced setting. The role involves working primarily via a hybrid model, with four days in the office and one day WFH, focusing on external customer interactions and operational support.
Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $24.74/hr
Responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls, providing updates and directing requests to appropriate processing teams
- Support the intake and processing of customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency
- Ensure timely completion of operational tasks while adhering to established SLAs
- Escalate processing or operational issues proactively for resolution
- Respond effectively to external partner requests, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives based on daily operational experiences
- Support compliance with banking regulations and internal policies, including AML and Business Continuity frameworks
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure data integrity in all transactions
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay aligned with operational standards
Desired Skill-Set
- Bilingual in French and English (reading, writing, speaking)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate clearly and professionally
- Customer service experience in a financial or corporate environment
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities
- Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, with the ability to learn new software tools quickly
- Familiarity with global and WSS platforms (asset)
- Understanding of cash products such as Loans, Deposits, Swaps, and Forwards (asset)
- Ability to handle high volumes of work while adhering to strict deadlines
Nice to Have
- Banking industry or financial institution experience
- Knowledge of MM and FX products like options, foreign exchange forwards, and money market deposits
- Experience with file transfer protocols and related technical skills
- Previous contract or operational support experience in financial services
