Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Financial Analyst – Capital Markets & Regional PNL. This position involves performing upfront analysis within a dynamic change process, engaging directly with regional finance teams and stakeholders to interpret balance sheets, analyze product control functions, and support regional P&L oversight. The role offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, emphasizing stakeholder interaction and financial analytics.
Pay rate range (CAD): $56.36/hr – $67.64/hr
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze balance sheets related to regional and entity-specific financials
- Support regional profit and loss analysis, including revenue transfer and tax considerations
- Collaborate with product control teams to ensure accurate P&L representation
- Work closely with regional finance teams to understand regional P&L nuances and entity structures
- Assist in upfront financial analyses to support process changes and strategic initiatives
- Utilize analytics tools to enhance financial reporting and insight generation
- Contribute to continuous process improvements within the financial analysis function
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience interpreting balance sheets with a minimum of 5 years in banking or finance
- Strong understanding of regional P&L, revenue transfer, and tax considerations
- Capital markets product knowledge, including experience with capital market instruments
- Experience in product control or related financial analysis roles
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders
- Proficiency in Excel macros and basic Python scripting (1+ year experience)
- Knowledge of regional tax procedures (1+ year)
Nice to Have
- Technical capabilities such as macros and Python scripting to automate and enhance analysis
- Prior experience with regional tax processes and compliance
- Additional certifications such as CFA or CPA are considered a plus
