Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Business Information Management Specialist/Capital Markets. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to risk management strategy, optimize data processes, and support critical decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering and documentation for risk management initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategies.
- Analyze diverse data sets across multiple domains, including credit and market risk, to develop comprehensive business insights.
- Collaborate with Risk Management, Business Lines, and Technology teams to define and validate business needs and data requirements.
- Interpret regulatory reporting obligations, translate them into data specifications, and support development of reporting solutions.
- Support the evolution of the Risk Data Factory on Azure cloud, facilitating data centralization and analytics.
- Identify opportunities for process standardization, automation, and scalability within risk operations.
- Manage project deliverables utilizing Waterfall and Agile methodologies, including SDLC/PDLC cycles.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders through presentations, status updates, and reporting, including executive summaries.
- Assess risks, dependencies, and constraints, developing mitigation plans as needed.
- Drive change management initiatives to facilitate adoption of new data processes and tools.
Desired Skill-Set
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience supporting risk data management within financial services.
- Strong knowledge of credit and market risk data domains, including complex client structures.
- Proven experience leading change initiatives across multiple stakeholders using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proficiency in SQL Server, MS Office suite, and Visio.
- Technical familiarity with Power BI, Alteryx, and data warehousing concepts.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate into technical data solutions.
- Experience working with Azure services, Databricks, Synapse, or Unity Catalogue is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of lending, trading, risk mitigation, banking books, and collateral management processes.
- Prior experience in core banking, capital markets, or consulting within financial services.
- Familiarity with data operationalization, business rules, and process engineering.
- Understanding of reference data management and data normalization.
- Background in using end-user tools such as Power BI and Alteryx.
