Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Release Train Engineer- SAFe / Credit Card to facilitate complex Agile projects within a dynamic credit platform. This position offers a strategic opportunity to oversee large-scale technology launches, coordinate multiple teams, and ensure timely delivery of critical features. The role provides high visibility, leadership in a team-oriented environment, and the chance to contribute to transformative financial services initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of high-complexity credit card projects across Agile Release Trains.
- Manage and optimize the flow of value through ARTs using tools such as Kanban; monitor dependencies and ensure architectural alignment.
- Lead Program Increment (PI) Planning, PI Readiness, System Demos, and Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings.
- Escalate impediments, manage risks, and coordinate resolution strategies to maintain project momentum.
- Collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally to align expectations and deliverables.
- Oversee, coach, and train a small team of professionals supporting Agile teams.
- Track and report on progress, risk mitigation, and performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Ensure delivery commitments are met within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Desired Skill-Set
- 10+ years of experience delivering high-complexity credit card features in Agile environments.
- 5+ years of direct experience with data conversions, preferably within credit card projects.
- 5+ years of presenting status updates, risks, issues, mitigations, and financials to senior leadership.
- Strong financial management skills and ability to manage project budgets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in risk mitigation and management strategies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Leadership skills to navigate ambiguity, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement.
Nice to Have
- Certified SAFE Release Train Engineer (RTE), SAFE Program Consultant (SPC), Scrum Master (CSM), PMP, or other Agile certifications.
- Prior experience in banking, financial institutions, or organizations offering credit cards.
- Experience with large-scale project portfolios and multi-team coordination.
