Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Vendor Manager –  Sourcing, Procurement & Contract Management. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead sourcing initiatives, influence business strategies, and build strong supplier relationships in a dynamic banking environment.

Pay rate range (CAD): $54.75/hr – $65.70/hr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal partners, primarily within the People & Culture team.
  • Influence and negotiate to achieve cost savings, value, and strategic objectives.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with enterprise goals.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing processes, including RFI/RFP, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct market assessments and risk evaluations to identify optimal suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and manage multiple sourcing projects concurrently.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Regulatory, and Risk teams to incorporate risk assessments into contracts.
  • Use performance metrics and analytics to monitor supplier performance and sourcing pipeline.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated on procurement best practices.

Desired Skill-Set

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and contract negotiations.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing and procurement controls in a regulated environment.
  • Proficient in contract negotiation, business analysis, and project execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and synthesize insights for strategic planning.
  • Proficient in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Skilled in leading end-to-end sourcing processes independently.
  • Experience working within large, complex organizations.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in banking or financial institutions.
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Knowledge of third-party risk management practices.
  • Familiarity with procurement technology and automation tools.
