Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Bilingual Collection Agent – Banking / Insurance. This position involves engaging with customers to support collections activities while delivering excellent service in both English and French. Pay rate range (CAD): $17.60/hr – $23.18/hr
Responsibilities
- Manage inbound and outbound calls to support collection efforts in a professional and courteous manner
- Accurately record customer interactions and transaction details
- Provide guidance and product information to customers based on their financial needs
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and refer clients to appropriate banking partners
- Escalate high-risk transactions or issues in accordance with policies
- Support operational processes by ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with regulations
- Contribute to team goals by meeting quality and productivity standards
- Engage with internal teams and external customers to foster positive relationships
- Adhere to all bank policies and regulatory requirements during all customer interactions
Desired Skill-Set
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Previous experience in customer service or collections within a financial institution
- Knowledge of banking products and financial services preferred
- Experience in a call center environment is advantageous
Nice to Have
- Prior banking or collections experience
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English
- Experience with collections management software or related applications
- Knowledge of federal, state, or provincial regulations affecting collections
- Proven ability to build rapport and handle customer inquiries with professionalism
