Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Operations Specialist who will support the end-to-end trade lifecycle and ensure seamless daily operations within the equities domain. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work remotely on a 12-month contract, contributing to critical client projects and operational excellence.

Pay rate range (CAD): $40.00/hr – $50.00/hr

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end trade lifecycle processes for CM Equities, ensuring accurate execution and timely resolution of issues
  • Handle trade reconciliations, investigate breaks, and maintain data integrity across multiple systems such as ADP, Broadridge, and Fidessa
  • Coordinate post-trade activities with settlements, corporate actions, and banking teams to facilitate smooth processing
  • Support EU-based trade and settlement operations, including processing instructions for share receipts and deliveries
  • Track and manage corporate actions like dividends and related adjustments
  • Investigate and resolve settlement and reconciliation breaks across systems
  • Communicate effectively with global teams and external stakeholders regarding operational issues and updates
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with processes, controls, and SLAs
  • Develop and implement process improvements, tools, and training programs
  • Support change management initiatives and participate in testing and deployment of new systems or procedures
  • Serve as a backup for team members and assist with vendor management and integration
  • Analyze data to derive insights, prepare reports, and support strategic decisions

Desired Skill-Set

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in trade lifecycle operations
  • Strong knowledge of trade reconciliation and post-trade processes
  • Experience with systems such as ADP, Broadridge, Fidessa, and Genesys
  • Solid understanding of Middle Office Operations within a financial services context
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
  • Technical proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Nice to Have

  • CFA designation or progress towards it
  • Experience in banking operations or related financial services areas
  • Experience with regulatory requirements and risk management in trade operations
