Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. IT Project Manager-Payment/Spanish. This position involves managing multiple payment-related projects within a dynamic banking environment, requiring excellent coordination skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to deliver complex initiatives on time and within budget.
Pay rate range (CAD): $75.00/hr – $85.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of payment projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Manage project scope, budgets ($500K to $10M), timelines, and resources effectively.
- Act as liaison between business teams and technology teams to facilitate clear communication and project understanding.
- Oversee project documentation, status updates, risk management, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate travel to LATAM regions, including Mexico, Brazil, and Peru, as required.
- Support onboarding processes and engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and reports for senior management.
- Promote best practices in project management and continuous improvement.
Desired Skill-Set
- Proven experience managing multiple complex projects in a financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of payments systems and dynamic currency conversion.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in a bilingual setting (Spanish preferred, additional French a plus).
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision and full ownership of projects.
- Skilled in budget management and resource allocation.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel within LATAM regions as needed.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience working on long-term contracts.
- Additional language skills such as French.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in different LATAM regions.
- Experience working in diverse or multicultural teams.
