Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Power BI/DAX Expert- Capital Markets/Wealth. This is a senior-level position focused on designing, developing, and delivering high-quality dashboards, reports, and data-driven solutions for strategic projects. The role involves close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to revamp reporting systems, primarily within the Payment Execution Engine project, supporting AI-driven initiatives and data pipelines.
Pay rate range (CAD): $65.00/hr – $70.00/hr
Responsibilities
- Partner with Scrum Master daily to provide project updates and coordinate delivery.
- Collaborate with Solution Designers to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.
- Work with Business Systems Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into effective Power BI reports.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Build data pipelines and support AI-related reporting initiatives, including LLM integrations.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support REST API and SDK integrations within Power BI solutions.
- Take ownership of deliverables and manage tasks through completion.
Desired Skill-Set
- 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
- Strong expertise in Power BI dashboard and report creation.
- Advanced knowledge of DAX.
- Experience with REST APIs and SDKs.
- Knowledge of Azure services is preferred.
- Programming experience in Node.js or Golang; candidates with Java or C# willing to learn Node.js/Golang will also be considered.
- Ability to build data pipelines and support AI/ML integrations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have
- Industry experience in Capital Markets or Wealth Management.
- Experience in banking or financial services.
- Familiarity with Power BI embedding and Github Copilot integrations.
- Prior experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of UI/UX principles for dashboard design.
