Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Software Developer-Mobile Banking. This position involves supporting and maintaining a high-profile mobile banking application, with opportunities for redesign work and direct contribution to innovative financial technology solutions.
Pay rate range (CAD): $74.06/hr – $88.87/hr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and architecture to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Develop and deliver features through 2-week sprint cycles, owning and executing assigned user stories.
- Provide regular updates regarding progress, blockers, and results to ensure team alignment.
- Support ongoing maintenance and support for the client's personal finance mobile application.
- Contribute to potential redesign efforts focusing on backend development.
- Assist in integrating new features following client's digital and PFM roadmap.
Desired Skill-Set
- 10+ years of back-end development experience.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed system design, API development, container orchestration.
- 5+ years of web development experience.
- 10+ years of JavaScript/TypeScript proficiency.
- 5+ years of experience with Kafka, Postgres, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong problem-solving and facilitation capabilities.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or collaboratively.
- Attention to detail and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with native iOS and Android development concepts.
- Experience with app lifecycle, push notifications, Xcode, and code signing.
- Knowledge of Cordova/Ionic v1 (AngularJS).
- Banking or financial institution experience.
