Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Communications Specialist-Digital Content. This position involves overseeing the creation and publication of engaging content that aligns with the strategic objectives of the Corporate Affairs division, supporting organizational storytelling, stakeholder engagement, and digital communication initiatives.
Pay rate range (CAD): $46.11/hr – $55.33/hr
Responsibilities
- Produce, edit, and publish written and multimedia content for various platforms including social media, third-party sites, and internal channels.
- Develop content strategies and create branded editorial content both assigned and pitched by you.
- Collaborate with team members to incorporate current events and trending topics into content.
- Ensure content quality, consistency, and alignment with organizational messaging standards.
- Edit and refine content to maintain a high standard of storytelling with a critical eye for detail.
- Leverage data, analytics, and SEO best practices to optimize content reach and engagement.
- Assist with new communication initiatives and digital storytelling channels.
- Advise colleagues and partners on content development, storytelling techniques, and optimization strategies.
- Monitor content performance metrics and suggest improvements based on analytics insights.
- Support the evolution of storytelling approaches and editorial practices.
Desired Skill-Set
- 8-10 years of experience in digital content creation and storytelling across multiple media platforms.
- Exceptional editing and copywriting skills, with a background in journalism, corporate communications, or content creation.
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple initiatives and meet tight deadlines.
- Tech-savvy with familiarity in data analytics, SEO, and digital publishing tools.
- Excellent understanding of digital storytelling, social media platforms, and content amplification techniques.
- Ability to research, synthesize complex information, and craft compelling narratives.
- Strong communicator with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Experience with visual and social storytelling formats, video production, audio editing, and graphic design assets is an asset.
- Knowledge of web accessibility and user experience principles.
Nice to Have
- Experience in corporate communications and thought leadership development.
- Familiarity with podcast content production and distribution.
- Knowledge of GEO targeting and content personalization strategies.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
