Sr. Fullstack Java Developer/Banking

Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Fullstack Java Developer/Banking. You will be part of a collaborative team responsible for designing, developing, and deploying high-quality, database-driven applications, supporting both ongoing maintenance and future enhancements within a dynamic, Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and host web-enabled, database-driven applications using Java
- Collaborate with team members to design, develop, and deploy solutions that meet project goals and client needs
- Write, test, and debug code effectively, adhering to best practices
- Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards are maintained
- Follow the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology for all phases
- Assist in creating requirements, design, testing, and deployment documentation
- Ensure knowledge transfer and proper documentation are completed for project continuity
- Conduct periodic scope assistance and support post-delivery maintenance
- Contribute to after-hours on-call support rotation as needed
Desired Skill-Set
- 7+ years of development experience in distributed Windows or Java environments
- Proficiency with SQL, Java, J2EE, HTML, Spring Boot, and Angular
- Strong experience with Jira and GitHub (7+ years)
- Advanced Java capabilities, including design patterns (5+ years)
- Cloud native and Azure experience
- Knowledge of Kafka and cloud architecture
- Experience in the banking domain
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and proactively identify gaps
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI capabilities, such as Copilot
- Previous experience with Kafka
- Familiarity with additional cloud architecture tools
- Prior experience in financial services or banking projects
